A recent trade deal signed between the Department of Trade Promotion under the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Amazon Global Selling has enabled Vietnamese enterprises to access more than 300 million online buyers on Amazon e-commerce platform.
By signing the deal with Amazon Global Selling, Vietnamese enterprises have the chance to bring Vietnamese goods to global consumers. This is an important channel to promote Vietnamese goods in foreign markets.
Amazon will give support for local enterprises to build brand names, as well as educate them on ecommerce. This is a stepping stone for Amazon to gradually bring its full services to Vietnam, an emerging market.
The partnership with Amazon is directly deployed with the Amazon Globals division, expanding the supply markets for Amazon. From now until Amazon officially provides full service in Vietnam, Lazada, Shopee, and other ecommerce platforms have a chance to improve and upgrade services to compete with the internet giant.
