Productivity in Vietnam has grown faster than any other major economy in Southeast Asia since 2000 as the nation shifted from agriculture to manufacturing, helping to underpin economic growth. Urbanization and a young, growing population will continue to fuel productivity increases over the next four years, according to forecasts published by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. They expect Vietnam will widen its lead over Indonesia and the Philippines, which also have young workforces.
